If you have ever shared a tweet or a Bluesky post in a Discord or Telegram chat, you have probably noticed that embeds are often broken — showing only the first image in a multi-image tweet, not showing videos at all, or displaying almost no context from the original post. FxEmbed (also known as FxTwitter and FixupX) fixes this.

FxEmbed is an open-source service maintained by the FxEmbed organisation on GitHub. It provides a set of proxy services that fix social media embeds on platforms that do not render them correctly — primarily Discord and Telegram. The service covers X/Twitter (via fxtwitter.com and fixupx.com) and Bluesky (via fxbsky.app).

Using FxEmbed is simple: instead of sharing a normal Twitter or Bluesky URL, you modify the URL slightly (adding “fx” or changing the domain) and the embed in Discord or Telegram becomes rich and complete.

Twitter allows up to four images per tweet, but Discord only embeds the first one. FxEmbed creates a gallery embed that shows all images in the Discord preview.

Twitter video links shared in Discord often fail to play inline. FxEmbed serves videos in a way that Discord can embed and play directly in chat.

FxEmbed can show poll results in the embed preview, giving context that is otherwise invisible in a standard URL preview.

For non-English tweets, FxEmbed can include a translation in the embed description, making shared tweets accessible to multilingual communities.

Beyond Twitter/X, FxEmbed also fixes Bluesky embeds via fxbsky.app — particularly useful as Bluesky’s native sharing via standard URLs is still inconsistent on many platforms.

FxEmbed runs on Cloudflare Workers, which are distributed globally. Response times are fast and the service handles high volumes reliably.

FxEmbed is for anyone who regularly shares social media links in Discord or Telegram communities. It is particularly valuable for community managers, crypto traders sharing X posts, content creators, and anyone who wants their shared links to show full context rather than broken previews.

Completely free. Use fxtwitter.com or fixupx.com for X/Twitter, fxbsky.app for Bluesky. Source at github.com/FxEmbed/FxEmbed. You can also self-host using your own Cloudflare account at zero cost (up to 100,000 requests per day).

FxEmbed solves a genuinely annoying problem simply and reliably. The fact that it requires no account, is free, and runs on global infrastructure makes it an easy recommendation for anyone who shares social media links in Discord or Telegram.

Rating: 9/10 — Near-perfect solution to a real problem. The only friction is manually modifying URLs.
